Her research lies at the intersection of computational linguistics and corpus linguistics, with a focus on AI-enhanced language assessment and foreign language education. She investigates multidimensional, automated, and explainable assessment of English writing by integrating corpus methods, natural language processing, pretrained language models, graph neural networks, large language models, and explainable AI. Her work examines the relationship between fine-grained linguistic features and writing quality, aiming to improve the reliability, interpretability, and pedagogical value of automated writing assessment and to support an integrated cycle of teaching, learning, testing, assessment, and feedback.
