Dr. Wang Wenhe earned his Ph.D. in Science from Tsinghua University. He has long been dedicated to addressing fundamental biological questions using structural biology approaches. As first author (including co-first) or corresponding author (including co-corresponding), he has published or had accepted over 10 papers in prestigious journals such as Vita, Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, Nature Plants, Nature Communications, and Cell Discovery. Notably, his work on the structure and function of the human mitochondrial outer membrane translocase (Cell Discovery, 2020) was selected as a "Key Achievement of the Protein Science Special Program" during China's 13th Five‑Year Plan period.

Dr. Wang has received multiple honors, including the "Distinguished Scholar" award from the Tsinghua-Peking Center for Frontier Research in Structural Biology, the Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Tsinghua-Peking Joint Center for Life Sciences (CLS), the National Graduate Student Scholarship, and the Beijing Outstanding Graduate Award. He currently serves as Principal Investigator of a National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Young Scientist Program (Category C, RMB 300,000, ongoing) and a Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities – Special Fund for Characteristic Basic Sciences (BR, RMB 100,000, ongoing).
