Yizhuo Li obtained her Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in mining engineering from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) and her Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Western Ontario (London, Canada).
Dr. Li has conducted innovative research in rock mechanics for estimating mining-induced stress and analyzing front stability in underground mining. The research makes significant contributions to the design, planning, operations, and ground control safety of hard rock mines.
Her current research interests include advanced stress mesearument developement, intelligent mining machinary, rockburst assessment and ground control, underground mine prefeasibility studies, open pit stability.
