Abstract:Blue–violet phosphor is an essential component to realize full spectrum lighting on the basis of commercial 365 nm N-UV chip excitation. However, its development falls behind since the phosphor with small stokes-shift (ΔS) is hard to realize. Herein, a new blue–violet phosphor SrSc4Si5O17:Ce3+ with small ΔS (∼30 nm) is presented. SrSc4Si5O17:Ce3+ emits bright blue–violet luminescence peaking at 39
