Dr. Yi ZHOU is an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Science and Technology Beijing. He received his Ph.D. degree from Tongji University, China in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Limin SUN. He was awarded a "Hong Kong Scholar" postdoctoral fellowship and worked together with Prof Yong XIA at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Currently, he serves as a council member of Institute of Diagnosis Treatment and Maintenance for Engineering–Architectural Society of China (IDTME-ASC) and a research fellow of National Observation and Research Station of Material Corrosion and Structural Safety of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in Guangdong.
Dr. ZHOU's research interests include condition monitoring and intelligent operation & maintenance for engineering structures. He has been the principal investigators of many national-level research projects sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research and Development Program. He has published dozens of academic papers, authored one monograph, and has been granted nearly 10 invention patents. The results of his research projects have been applied in the health monitoring practice of multiple large-scale bridges. In 2021, he was awarded the First Prize of the 12th Beijing Municipal Young College Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills Competition.
