Profile

Chao Ren is currently an Associate Professor with University of Science and Technology Beijing, China. He received the B.Eng. degree from the Ocean University of China, China, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree from Xidian University, China, in 2017. From 2015 to 2017, he was with the University of Alberta, Canada, as a Joint Ph.D. Student sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). His research interests include 6G multimodal communication, cooperative communication technology in advanced wireless networks and its new derivative solutions. He served as a Review Editor for Frontiers in Computer Science,  co-chairs for Ucom2023-2024 Workshops, a guest editor for Space-Integrated-Ground Information Network, and Technical Program Committee (TPC) members for IEEE VTCICC, Globecom, WCNC and others.
